Biolinea Int. has participated as a key facilitator of the ECDC train-the-trainer workshop for Western Balkans on raising awareness for prevention of Legionnaires’ disease associated to touristic accommodation sites. This ECDC workshop aimed to support Western Balkans to raise awareness to accommodation sites in their country for prevention of Legionella and risk for Legionnaires‘ disease. This train- the-trainers workshop, held in Podgorica (Montenegro) the days 14-15 of September 2022 provided a practical training for national experts working on Legionnaires’ disease in order to enable the participants to facilitate and deliver an information seminar in their country’s language and legislative setting. About 30 Public Health Officers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and North Macedonia participated in the workshop. A team formed by members of ECDC and Biolinea Int. participated as facilitators and instructors.
